We (Mom, Dad, 2 Boys of 7+10) had the immense pleasure of staying with Silvia and Mario the 1st week of July, 2016. We arrived quite late due to car rental issues, but this was luckily no problem at all. Silvia speaks an excellent english, and we were able to communicate without problems.
With all the basics checked off: functioning WiFi, comfortable beds, a clean apartment etc., the rental apartment lies below Silvia and Marios house with direct accesss to a very well kept garden, a stunning pool and a spectacular view. Inside, the two bedrooms are located in opposite ends of the spacious apartment, separated by a well equipped kitchen/dining room/living room area. The rooms are super clean and quite cool during the day which is perfect during a very hot summer. Every room is tastefully decorated with wooden furniture, paintings and even crockery leaving behind the feeling that we did not live in a rental apartment, but in fact stayed in a separate room as guests. Needless to say, the fact that Silvia would drop by with a sample of Roman pizza bianca one day, and fresh figs wrapped in ham another, greatly added to that feeling of being welcome.
For anyone who likes to play in/around the pool, watch the sun set and listen to the cikadas while sipping on a glass of wine (a nice bottle of white was left for us in the cooler) and who does not mind having to get in the car every once in a while, this remote yet accessible apartment is for you.
In spring or autumn, this would be an obvious choice for a tranquil refuge during the nights while visiting Rome during the day.
We absolutely loved staying with you. Thank you for your hospitality Silvia and Mario, we hope to see you again.

Relaxing and peaceful with beautiful scenery!
We had the most away from it all relaxing time after having spent 3 nights in busy Rome. The property is spacious and comfortable with beautiful decor. We used the bbq most evenings enjoying the views of the hills in the distance. The outside area is so spacious and well kept and the pool is clean and a good size with plenty of beds and seating areas. Silvia and Mario are the perfect hosts, never intruding your space. But have plenty of time if you have any questions. They were very kind and gave us wine and hot bread. I hope to visit again one day. Thankyou. Julie Darren Ryan and Joseph

We had a wonderful holiday in Silvia's house.
Waking up with a glimpse of blue sky through the curtains, jumping out of bed to be in the garden, stretch and admire the beautiful clear view on the hills, prepare for the breakfast was our everyday routine and we already miss it a lot.
As other comments already said, it is really pleasant to come back to this peaceful and refreshing haven after a hot busy day in Rome.
There is a LOT to see and visit in the surroundings and Silvia gave us all info we needed.
The house is very well equipped, nothing was missing.
And the pool... fresh and clean, we loved it.
The garden is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed many hours of peaceful reading in the sun or in the shade, with sometimes a glass of delicious local wine to sip from.
In short, we keep wonderful memories of this stay in Formello. Thank you so much Silvia and Mario!

Very good place for quiet relaxing holiday.
Beautiful views all around. The villa is very well decorated and is nice and clean. The pool is just great, we were using it every day. Silvia is a very good host, she is very welcoming person. We had no problems with communications and our check in and check out went smoothly. Not far from the villa there is a big lake with water sports centre.

Excellent apartment
A lovely apartment which exceeded all our expectations. It is very well appointed and equipped and with amazing views over the valley. On the edge of the town of Formello the apartment is in a very quiet and relaxing spot. Sylvia and Mario gave us a very warm welcome and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The lovely pool was good for relaxing after sightseeing. There are several good places to eat in the surrounding area and a really good gelateria in the town. It is a convenient base from which to explore the tourist highlights in the area north and west of Rome and of course days out in Rome too. We had already spent a week exploring Rome and the apartment gave us the opportunity to have a more relaxing week. We can highly recommend it.

Fantastic views and friendly hosts
We stayed in the Penthouse for 1 week in October and had a fabulous time. The views from the bedroom and living room were absolutely stunning. Each morning we woke up to the beautiful hilltop landscapes viewed through the huge window, looking just like a painting. The apartment was very nice, and large, including 3 bathrooms. The property has a large garden and a very large swimming pool. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you need to make your meals. We used the barbeque for one of the meals and enjoyed sitting out on the large terrace drinking wine. The best thing about our stay was the friendliness and generosity of our hosts, Sylvia and Mario. Sylvia (who speaks English very well), went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, including a nice welcome package consisting of fruit, crackers and a wonderful bottle of red wine . We spent one night sitting with Sylvia and Mario sharing wine and discussing activities around the area, they were so nice. Sylvia even brought up two homemade dishes for us on subsequent evenings, you can’t ask for more than that! We never made it to any of the shops or restaurants in Formello. We drove to a nearby train station (15 min drive) and took the train into Rome several times. This was very easy to do, and cost under $2 round trip on the train. We walked all over Rome, and were lucky enough to have fantastic weather for most of our trip. There is a supermarket close by where you can stock up on supplies for meals, but you definitely need a car to get around the area. We can’t wait to come back and stay in the Penthouse again, we are already planning a return trip. Oct 18, 2016

FORMIA July 2016
Iana Pradun Russia

We spent a great time in Formia, in Silvia's house. We liked the house very much. There was everything you need for a comfortable stay. The area is fenced, It has a beautiful garden. large outdoor parking. It was important for us, because we rented a car. Beach is very close ( about 150-200 meters). large supermarket is about 900 meters from the house, and very close to the house is the gas station, where is also a small shop where you can buy food. The house has 3 bedrooms. Each room has a balcony, two rooms have air conditioning, in the third room there are air fans, they are a little noisy but it did not interfere with sleep. In one of the bedrooms was heard road noise, but it also was not a problem. Couple of times we had problems with the hot water, but it did not prevent us to have a great time. In general, we have only pleasant and positive emotions. We had a very homelike and memorable vacation. We would love to spend our vacation at house Silvia again.

Grande maison située a 5 min a pied de la plage. Nous avons passé un agréable séjours en famille. Seul point négatif la maison est un peu bruyante; La via Flacca (route nationale) passe au bout du jardin).
